Looking for a different kind of dog, that could meet the high standard she set, I did a stupid little test on the internet. To my surprise there was a breed I had never heard of amongst the results: the Shiloh Shepherd. After checking it out I knew this was it, but there weren't any breeders in Europe anymore. It took me two years of research and patience to get one, but it was worth it! I felt other people should get to know these dogs too, so, when Link's health testing results were good, I decided to become a breeder. As with everything I do, I want to have knowledge to back up what I'm doing, so in the mean time I'm in the 3rd leg of becoming a show judge, and do courses on genetics, talk to as many experienced breeders as possible and go to lectures as often as I can. We decided to get a beautiful male, Totem, from Kai-Lyn Shilohs, but at the same time, one of the pups from our first litter came back, our pick girl, purple. We couldn't part with her again, and still went through with getting our boy . So now we have a pack of 3, that fortunately get along very well together. We are blessed! |
