Hearing so much about dangerous dog treats sold in pet shops, nowadays I make my own:
boneless chicken breast strips dried in a low heat convection oven (80º C), the edges can become very sharp, I remove them with scissors, as I cut the strips to bite size treats. The longer you dry the meat, the more edges you lose to sharpness, so I prefer "not moist" to "very dry". The process takes about 2 hours, but depends on the size and thickness of the strips. Keep refrigerated.
